T his year, the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) is making filmmaking more accessible through industry expert-led workshops and collaborations with international groups.
Taskovski x FDCP – DocsConnect: Training 1st Module Workshop
When: January 16 – 20, 2025
Where: Seda Manila Bay
FDCP and London-based Taskovski Films launched the first DocsConnect workshop in the Philippines, presenting “conscious filmmaking,” a combination of self-care, mindfulness, and production skills. Participants will spend 5 days working on 10 documentary films at different stages of development. This marks the beginning of the FDCP and Taskovski’s initiative to support local documentary filmmakers.
Mowelfund Film Institute x FDCP | Cinematic na Authentic: Finding Your Voice in Visual Storytelling
When: November 7, 2024 – February 20, 2025*
FDCP partnered with the Mowelfund Film Institute to produce “Cinematic na Authentic,” an immersive program focused on visual storytelling. 20 selected cinematographers are being taught both the technical and creative aspects of cinematography under the direction of renowned Director of Photography Lee Briones-Meily. They are set to finish the course by February 20, 2025.
Eugenio Lopez Jr. Senior High School x FDCP Academic Film Society | Script to Screen: A Masterclass on Scriptwriting and Visual Storytelling

The FDCP Academic Film Society will offer young aspiring filmmakers at Eugenio Lopez Jr Center for Media Arts Senior High School with hands-on experience in scriptwriting and visual storytelling, nurturing the future generation of storytellers.
